who we are at our core

we rely on life, especially nature for all relevant information. we are beginners. the further down the road we get, the more we begin anew, allowing life to surprise us.

about erwin

when i was twelve years old, i wondered how everyone knew who they were. i couldn't really see any meaningful answers around me. after this observation, i didn't see why i should take up an ordinary life.

yet i tried, searching for an answer to the resulting inability to build a joyful and meaningful relationship with myself, others and life. without planning it, this journey became my existence and subsequently my source of expertise.

i started traditionally, looked for the right the right kind of studies at various universities and even completed a year at an acting school. to no avail.

then i met a very exceptional human being, an old tibetan meditation master who embodied kindness, wisdom and deep humor. i decided to learn from him, became a buddhist monk and 15 years later also a buddhist teacher (lama).

after many deep learnings, i understood that i had to focus on the essence of life beyond all forms, not knowing that this path of unlearning would take another 15 years. it takes time to train your mind, and it takes time to let go of what doesn't really resonate with you.

in addition to this deconstruction, i got a master’s degree in health sciences and became a certified coach.

i have learned not only to seek, but also to find and to listen to life. i love sharing my insights with you, here at the courage academy.
